With the 2023 Audi TT Roadster Final Edition, Audi of America honors three decades of enduring design. The Audi TT Roadster Final Edition is finished in an Audi-only shade of green called Goodwood Green Pearl Effect. It has several special features, such as a contemporary take on the baseball stitch seats from the original TT. There are just 50 units available for the US market.

Unique Design Elements

Only as a roadster is the TT Final Edition available, and it is dressed in Audi-only Goodwood Green pearl effect paint, which was a series production color for the TT Roadster’s predecessor. The third generation TT Roadster is the first vehicle to feature the S line exterior, which is merged with platinum gray matte side and bumper trim. For added exclusivity, the S line exterior is not accompanied by S line badging. A gray convertible top matches the exterior S-line highlights in gray.

Only the 2019 TT Roadster 20th Anniversary edition was equipped with the gray soft top, which has an electrohydraulic drive system that allows it to be raised and lowered in 10 seconds while the car is moving at up to 31 mph.

The TT Final edition’s inside is trimmed in Palomino Brown leather, an homage to the recognizable baseball stitch leather from the first generation. It pays homage to the original TT Roadster and provides a timeless mix when combined with the Audi-only Goodwood Green exterior. Additionally, the TT Final Edition has a standard extended leather package that includes black leather covering the instrument cluster hood and airbag cap, as well as the same Palomino brown leather and stitching on the door armrests and center console. The floor mats have Palomino Brown leather piping and stitching to finish the interior design, while the steering wheel and gear selector boot have Audi-only Palomino Brown embroidery added to them.

Additionally, the S sport seats in the TT Roadster include integrated seatbelt microphones to enhance Bluetooth and speech recognition functionality, as well as neck-level heating to keep you toasty on cool days when the top is down. Lastly, to further emphasize the TT Roadster Final edition’s sporting nature, carbon fiber inlays are included throughout the interior surfaces.

Legendary TT Performance

The 20×9-inch 10-Y-spoke forged wheels that are standard on the TT Roadster Final Edition are shod with summer tires measuring 255/30 R20 92Y XL, which are taken from the aggressive TTS. The Audi magnetic ride suspension system, which lowers the center of gravity by 10mm as compared to regular suspension and changes damping forces based on driving conditions for improved driving dynamics, also takes design cues from the TTS.

With a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, the TT Roadster is equipped with quattro all-wheel drive and a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch gearbox. In just 5.5 seconds, the TT Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour.

It Is All In The Name

The model name “TT” is a nod to the storied Tourist Trophy, one of the world’s oldest racing competitions, held on the Isle of Man. It was there that two Auto Union manufacturers, NSU and DKW, had significant triumphs with their bikes. Later, NSU would celebrate the brand’s historic race title on its sporty compact vehicle, the TT Prinz, by using the TT name.

Audi introduced the TT Coupe to the public in 1998, and a year later, the Roadster type was released. Conventional notions of Audi design were questioned by the Bauhaus-inspired design, and the Audi TT’s moniker was purposefully changed from the brand’s standard terminology to highlight the model line’s uniqueness.
